Dear Greater New Haven Community Loan Fund Program:
My name is Danita Bowen and I own a home on [address omitted] in New Haven Connecticut. I just wanted to write this note to tell a story about a certain organization that helps people to stay in their homes called The Greater New Haven Community Loan Fund Program.
On November 30, 2009 I was informed by my mortgage company that one of my modification mortgage trial payments would have to be doubled to satisfy my escrow account. I only had the monthly payment and had until December 1, 2009 to pay the additional amount. My hours at my current job are down to only 20 hours a week from a 40 hour a week salary with the supplemental balance from unemployment to allow me to make the new modified mortgage payment and household expenses. I was literally at the end of my rope hanging on. If it wasn't for your compassionate, professional quick moving and thinking family of management and staff such as the Director of Finance (Annette Rubelmann) and Program Counselor (Jackie Downing) I would have been in real jeopardy of losing my place on the modification program along with my home. You and your agency not only made it possible that the additional mortgage was made by your agency paying it for me but made it possible for me to remain on the modification trial program so I would be able to afford to stay in my home. The New Haven Home Loan Fund Program has touched and made such an impact on me and my life at this time with this deed that I don't even think you know what you have done for me. I am forever grateful. You should change the name of the agency to The Greater New Haven Home ANGEL Program because that's what you all are to me ANGELS. God Bless the agency and staff for what you do. You not only save people from maybe losing their homes but at the same time save our lives in a special way. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have all of your arms to run into.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Sincerely (With all of my Heart),
Danita Bowen
