Paul was living in a New Haven supportive housing program for recovering drug addicts and alcoholics but became behind in his rent and was evicted. Paul came to Catholic Charities/ Centro San Jose for help. Our Family Specialist was able to find a new home in a similar housing program where the minister was able to place him in a bed and give him a job on a one month trial basis. Catholic Charities / Centro San Jose was able to pay his deposit through the Neighbor 2 Neighbor grant. Thanks to Neighbor to Neighbor, Paul was able to find a new home, maintain the support he needs to stay sober, pay his deposit and get a job to help pay his rent every month.
