Greetings!!

How exciting it is when a plan comes together.  During the past couple of months, we have been able to assist three clients in making the transition from residing in our shelter to their own apartments within the City of New Haven.

Motivated by the 'possibility' of receiving assistance from our agency, through the generous funding from this grant, three previously homeless men have located great apartments in the community, moved into those apartments and are working to maintain stability.

It is also interesting that although each client carries with them their own challenges and personal histories, the landlords were equally motivated by our Rental Assistance Program and guarantee of help for the client with the security deposit that they were willing to be more flexible and supportive in extending housing to the clients.

We are extremely grateful for the funding and this initiative and are looking forward to assisting more of our residents in making a transition to self-sufficiency.
