Neighbors Helping Neighbors Mini-Grants
$22,000 Available to Mobilize Volunteers
Beginning in November 2011, N2N LifeLine is providing mini-grants to civic, neighborhood, and faith groups to help cover the costs of a service project that relates to the mission of N2N. The mini-grants are designed to encourage hands-on involvement in helping our neighbors
Please note: Traditional non-profit organizations that provide direct services are not eligible for this grant. There will be a grant opportunity for service providers in January 2012.
Mini-Grant Application Guidelines
- Applications will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis, until the funds are fully distributed. $22,000 is available for mini-grants.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered for funding.
- Mini-grants should be used to mobilize volunteers around projects related to emergency food and shelter. Click here for a list of project ideas.
- Mini-grant funds may be used to expand/enhance existing projects or to start a new project that can be one-time or ongoing.
- Projects should be completed by March 31, 2012.
- Mini-grants are available up to $1,000. Organizations may not apply for more than one mini-grant.
- Mini-grant recipients will be expected to document their projects through photographs and stories submitted online. *
* All organizations that submit photographs and stories will be eligible for a prize of $1,000, which they may use to further their existing project, create a new service project, or donate to a non-profit of their choice. Prize winners will be drawn randomly from all groups that complete the reporting requirement.
